Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker which is used between a phase conductor and a neutral conductor and has an overvoltage detecting circuit such as a metal oxide varistor in a trip circuit thereof. SOLUTION: An overvoltage detecting circuit enables a trip coil to block a high surge voltage at a time of a surge test and, if a sufficiently large phase conductor-neutral conductor voltage is applied to a circuit breaker for a proper duration time, energizes the trip coil to trip the circuit breaker.
