MOBILE PHONE TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone terminal capable of comparatively simply receiving a URL described on a printer matter or the like without using key entry. SOLUTION: The mobile phone terminal 10 has a character read section (line sensor) 2 to read an image at a bottom of its housing. A user scans the character read section 2 onto a character string being a read object. The mobile phone terminal 10 applies character recognition processing to obtained two-dimensional image data and extracts a character string being the read object among character strings obtained by the character recognition processing. A display section 5 displays the extracted character string. The user confirms the character string and corrects only characters having errors such as mis-recognition or mis-extraction or the like.
