Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce operator's load and to attain a low cost by simply and easily integrating a cleaning mechanism into a belt unit constituted of attaching a cylindrical endless belt to a belt supporting unit or replacing the cleaning mechanism without using complicated structure. SOLUTION: In an intermediate transfer unit 16 integrated into an electrophotographic device and provided with a cleaning mechanism 13 having a cleaning member 34 capable of cleaning the intermediate transfer of a toner image or paper powder or toner remaining on the periphery of a belt of a paper carrying endless belt unit and arranged so as to be brought into press- contact with the periphery of the belt, the rotation shaft parts 35b, 35d of the cleaning mechanism are engaged with a unit frame 40 of the belt unit so as to be optionally attached/detached and rotated, a cleaning frame 35 of the cleaning mechanism 13 is opposed to the unit frame 40 and constituted so as to be rotated in accordance with the rotation of the rotation shaft parts 35b, 35d, and both the frames 35, 40 are engaged with each other on the position on which the cleaning member is brought into press-contact with the periphery of the belt so as to fix the position of the cleaning mechanism.
