PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier device having a belt 2 arranged on a flat surface in an endless form, a pulley 5 to guide movement of the belt 2 and a large number of plates to load a carrying article arranged on the belt 2 along the belt 2 and to move with the belt 2, capable of preventing dislocation of positioning of the belt 2 in the vertical direction due to weight, etc., of the carrying article in a state where the belt 2 makes contact with the pulley 2 and constantly and smoothly carrying the article. SOLUTION: Support of load weight of weight, etc., of the carrying article and positioning of the belt 2 in the vertical direction are simultaneously carried out by providing a groove 6 to be engaged with a projection 4 on a peripheral surface 5a of the pulley 5 as well as continuously or discontinuously the projection 4 on a contact surface of the belt 2 making contact with the peripheral surface 5a of the pulley 5.
