GAS HUMIDIFIER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas humidifier having such a structure that a constant quantity of water is stably added into gas even when the flow rate and pressure of gas to be humidified is fluctuated. SOLUTION: In this gas humidifier, a liquid evaporating part is set in the inside of a humidifier body having a gas channel in which gas flows from a gas supply port toward a gas delivering port. The liquid evaporating part comprises a substantially cylindrical metal body whose upper surface is closed, and a heater is arranged therein, so that gas flowing in the gas channel is humidified by evaporating liquid supplied to the liquid evaporating part through a liquid feeding part. At least the upper surface of the liquid evaporating part is covered with a liquid diffusing material expanded by soak caused by capillarity of water supplied from the liquid feeding part to a specific position. The liquid diffusing material is preferably arranged to cover the upper surface and peripheral surface of the liquid evaporating part, and is preferably a woven material made from glass wool, fluororesin, metal wire, and the like.
