Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a benzimidazolone compound synthesizable simply and realizing stable and good dispersibility and fluidity of a pigment without aggregating the pigment and suitable as a pigment dispersing agent without deteriorating with time, the pigment dispersing agent, a pigment dispersion composition and a coloring photosensitive composition comprising the compound. SOLUTION: This benzimidazolone compound is represented by general formula (1) (wherein, X denotes a single bond or an arylene; A denotes a single bond, O, CONH, CO2, CO, SO2NH, SO3or SO2; m and p denote each an integer of 0-3; n and q denote each an integer of 0-4; R1and R2denote each independently CO2H, SO3H or its alkali metal or an ammonium salt thereof; and R3and R4denote each an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, hydroxy group, nitro group, chloro group, bromo group, an ester group or an amide group, with the proviso that at least either one of p and q denotes an integer of ≥1).
