Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sealer composition for root canal restoration which has excellent characteristics inherent in a glass ionomer cement, can be easily removed from a root canal when the retreatment of the root canal is necessary, and can be easily weighed or malaxated. SOLUTION: This glass ionomer-based sealer composition for root canal restoration is prepared by mixing 1 pt.wt. first paste with 0.5-3 pts.wt. second paste. The first paste comprises 30-70 wt.% α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid polymer, 10 wt.% or lower polymer nonreactive with the α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid polymer and/or inorganic filler nonreactive with the α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid polymer, and the balance water. The second paste comprises 50-85 wt.% fluoroaluminosilicate glass powder, 10 wt.% or lower nonreactive substance, 0.05-5 wt.% water-soluble thickener, and the balance water. The first and second pastes are compounded so that the sum of amounts of nonreactive substances contained in the first and second pastes is 0.5 wt.% or higher of the resultant mixture.
