SPACE SAVING PIT ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device capable of reducing a depth of a pit more than a conventional elevator device and eliminating the ground excavation construction work for ensuring a depth of the pit when installing a hoistway. SOLUTION: A shock absorber below a car is omitted using a fluid pressure cylinder having buffer action as a driving means, and a frame below the car is omitted by hanging the car by a car longitudinal frame to reduce the depth of the pit. Moreover, a height of a landing place at the lowest story is increased by the depth of the pit from a floor surface of a building, and a slope is provided from the floor surface of the building toward the landing place at the lowest story.
