Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element which keeps accuracy even when used in an optical device such as a picture display device and in which the optical characteristics hardly vary even when a load is applied thereto in the case of being incorporated into the optical device. SOLUTION: The provided optical element has a supporting member and an optical functional layer comprising a polymerizable liquid crystal material hardened with specified liquid crystal regularity on the supporting member and is characterized by having an elastic modulus of the optical functional layer to be 1.2 MPa or more in 20-200°C range.
