Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for measuring local heat transfer distribution of an object surface. SOLUTION: The apparatus includes a heater element (26) for providing heat flux, a member (24) disposed on the surface of the heater element for receiving impinging cooling air. A liquid crystal element (28) is provided on the side of the heater element remote from the surface, and an insulating material (30) is disposed adjacent to the liquid crystal element and remote from the heater element.
