Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting rod of separation by breaking type capable of offering a good reseparation characteristic of the broken surfaces. SOLUTION: The base material 1 of the connecting rod is formed by forging into a solid molding, and its large end 2 is separated by breaking into a body part 9 and cap part 10, whose broken surfaces 11 and 12 are immersed in a corrosive liquid to be corroded, and thereby micro-projections on the rupture surfaces 11 and 12 are made moderate microscopically and bonded again, and thus the large end of the connecting rod 15 is formed.
