PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component of a type that the opening of a resin box type casing receiving elements in a circular recess is covered by a cover made of an elastic material and the cover is hardly released from the casing, even when the cover receives some external force while the side surface of the casing can be a type of a plane. SOLUTION: The opening of a box type casing 11 of a plastic, which receives the element in a circular recess 11A and which is provided with recesses 16, 17 in both corners of opposing side surfaces 11B, 11C, is covered by the cover 12, made of an elastic material and having protrusions 14A, 15A, engaged with the recesses 16, 17 and projected inward while having a biasing force in the levitating direction from the upper surface of the casing 11. A release preventing means for making the releasing of the cover difficult in cooperating with the biasing force of the cover 12 is provided whereby the electronic component, whose cover 12 is hardly released even when the same receives some external force and the side surfaces of the casing can be provided with the shape of a flat plane, can be realized.
