Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate the compressive strength of concrete with high accuracy over a wide strength range. SOLUTION: Regarding many pieces of concrete whose water/cement ratio, exposure environment and material age (carbonization depth) are different from each other, the Vickers hardness Hv of a part which is not influenced by its carbonization is measured, the compressive strength Fc is measured by a compression testing machine, an experiment to investigate the relationship between both is made, and a high correlation between the Vickers hardness Hv and the compressive strength Fc of the concrete is clarified as shown in the figure over the wide strength range irrespective of the water/cement ratio and the like. Consequently, the Vickers hardness Hv of the part which is not influenced by the carbonization of the concrete is measured, the compressive strength Fc is computed on the basis of its measured result by using a computing expression expressing the relationship between the Vickers hardness Hv and the compressive strength Fc, and the compressive strength Fc of the concrete can be estimated with high accuracy over the wide strength range.
