MOLD FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING AND METHOD FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING OF STEEL USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for continuous casting capable of preventing the occurrence of recesses in the surface central part or the corner part of the cast slab and to provide a cast slab with almost no concave part by continuously casting steel using the mold. SOLUTION: The mold for continuous casting is used when continuously casting cast slabs whose perpendicular cross section shape against the drawing direction is rectangular. The cross section shape of the mold is substantially rectangular and each side of substantially rectangle is curved toward the outer side and the bulging volume is reduced toward the drawing direction, and the corner interval of each side is so composed as to be narrowed at the rate of 0.5%/m or more toward the drawing direction.
