Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrically operated deionized water producing system which can suppress the degradation in the quality of treated water by diffusion of carbon dioxide and can reduce the installation area. SOLUTION: The system has a main body section 12 which is formed by a desalting chamber 2 by packing an ion exchanger into a chamber compartmentalized by a cation exchange member on one side and an anion exchange membrane on the other side, is provided with thickening chambers 3 on both sides of the desalting chamber across the cation exchange membrane and the anion exchange membrane and is arranged with such desalting chamber 2 and thickening chambers 3 between electrode chambers 4 having electrodes, concentrated water circulating system which includes a circulating tank 5 for circulating the concentrated water flowing in the thickening chambers 3 and an electrode water outflow pipe 7 which admits the electrode water flowing out of the electrode chambers 4 into the circulating tank 5.
