Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defoaming agent, added to an aqueous coating material and having excellent deformability for the aqueous coating material, in which a rain streak stain contamination-proofing property and a luster property are not impaired even if a coating film formed by painting the aqueous coating material is exposed to rain or shine. SOLUTION: The defoaming agent for an aqueous coating material contains at least one kind of organopolysiloxane compound selected from polyalkylene- modified organopolysiloxane, polyether-modified organopolysiloxane, dimethyl- modified organopolysiloxane and fluoro-modified organopolysiloxane and at least one kind of clay mineral selected from kaolinite, halloysite and montmorillonite.
