CHANGEABLE-FLOOR TYPE SMALL ANIMAL REARING CAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a changeable-floor type rearing cage for rearing experimental small animals which does not form tumors and corns in the paws and the soles of the feet of the small animals, does not make the small animals suffer from arthritis, does not give the small animals an unsual feeling, has a floor that can be easily cleaned because of preventing muck from firmly sticking thereto and not making the removal thereof difficult, and does not consume much energy for ventilation. SOLUTION: This rearing cage includes a hexahedral cage body 1 having a top wall 2, four side walls 3a, 3b, 3c and 3d and a bottom face 5. The floor board 9 constituting the floor face with which the small animals in the interior of the cage come directly into contact is placed on the crossbars 5a forming the bottom face 5 of the cage body 1. The floor board 9 can be drawn out via a space 13 so as to enable cleaning, sterilization and exchange. A perforated part 14 or a meshed part 15 can be provided in a least a part of the floor board 9. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
