Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption by a data cascade system requiring permanent circuit operation concerning a semiconductor device. SOLUTION: When a data signal fetched by a data fetch circuit 1 is a signal to be fetched by a latch circuit 3, a clock transmission blocking circuit 4 and an external data transmission blocking circuit 5 halt outputting of a clock signal and a data signal to a data output circuit 2. Thus, the power consumption of the semiconductor device can be reduced in the following stage. Moreover, when the fetched data signal is a signal necessary for the semiconductor device in the following stage and thereafter, an internal data transmission blocking circuit 6 halts fetching of the data signal to the latch circuit 3, and the clock transmission blocking circuit 4 and the external data transmission blocking circuit 5 output the fetched clock data and the data signal to the data output circuit 2. By this operation, the data fetch circuit itself halts fetching a data signal, therefore, the power consumption can be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
