DIGITAL CAMERA AND INTERCHANGEABLE LENS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of a digital camera that can properly correct shading reflecting a characteristic of an interchangeable lens. SOLUTION: The digital camera 1A includes the interchangeable lens 3 and a camera body 2 to/from which the interchangeable lens 3 is attached/detached. A ROM 35 in the interchangeable lens 3 stores vignetting data particular to the interchangeable lens 3 and emission pupil position data. Further, a control section 29 in the camera body 2 stores body sensitivity reduction data with respect to reduction in the surrounding illuminance on the basis of a dependence of a CCD 23 on an incident angle. Shading is corrected for photographing image data acquired by the CCD 23 on the basis of the vignetting data, the emission pupil position data and the body sensitivity reduction data. As a result, proper shading correction reflecting the characteristic of the interchangeable lens can be attained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
