Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame retardant rubber composition having excellent flame retardance, generating no poisonous gas such as a halogen gas and containing no substance, which may become a cause of environmental contamination, such as phosphor and lead, and further having well balanced various characteristics such as weather resistance, mechanical characteristics, oil resistance and flexibility, where the composition is especially useful as a material for rollers, belts and sealings for printers. SOLUTION: The rubber composition contains 50-300 pts.wt. of one or more kinds of aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide (D) to 100 pts.wt. of the total amount of (A) an unsaturated nitrile-conjugate diene rubber containing 35-70 wt.% of unsaturated nitrile units and (B) an ethylene/α-olefin random copolymer.
