SOLUTION: The ink composition including a coloring agent and a water-soluble carrier, has a less than 3 ppm dissolved gas content measured based on the dissolved oxygen gas content at 20°C and a 34 dyne/cm or more static surface tension at 25°C. The ink cartridge 16 comprises an ink container 70 filled with an ink liquid having a less than 3 ppm dissolved gas content measured based on the dissolved oxygen gas content at 20°C and a 34 dyne/cm or more static surface tension at 25°C.
