Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing mechanism of a magnetic head suitable for a card disk drive which has an oblong shape with respect to an insertion direction of a magnetic disk cartridge. SOLUTION: A pair of head suspensions 18 and 18 which support the magnetic heads 20 respectively are held open when the pair of magnetic heads 20 are spaced from each other before the magnetic disk cartridge is loaded. The pair of magnetic heads 20 and 20 are made to contact each other by insertion of the magnetic disk cartridge 30 and the pair of magnetic heads 20 are made to access both sides of the magnetic disk.
