SOLUTION: The data recording device is equipped with a modulating circuit 15 which modulates contents data, a command generating circuit 26 which generates a command indicating the recording of a cipher key which is not demodulated together with the 1st data, and an optical pickup 18 which records the contents data modulated by the modulating circuit 15 and records the cipher key on an optical disk 1 when the command is inputted from the command generating circuit 26.
