SOLUTION: In this product production control method, a production system consisting of a product maker as a manufacturer and seller, kit companies arranged in respective places for manufacturing a kit-form commodity product consisting of a plurality of kit parts, and a plurality of assembly companies assembling the kit-form commodity product for manufacturing the product is administered by a production management system using a computer. The production control system includes a step for selecting the assembly company close to a sales company received the product order, a step for selecting the kit company economically advantageous to the sales company received the product order, a step for instructing the kit company to produce the kit commodity product, and a step for instructing the assembly company to assemble the product.
