Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a technology for manufacturing an Mg alloy of excellent formability and productivity higher than that of a conventional one and facilitating the manufacturing of the Mg alloy even in a large-sized one. SOLUTION: The Mg alloy containing dispersion-reinforcing particles of Zr is subjected to hot working at 15 to 70 extension ratio and then to quasi- static pressure hot working of 0.5 to 3 strain. By this method, the Mg-alloy stock having high ductility at ordinary temperature and excellent formability can be manufactured.
