Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge in which an ink leakage is prevented from occurring, by impact while an ink package is being transported, or when it is dropped by a user. SOLUTION: This ink cartridge is equipped with the ink package 20, a residual amount-detecting plate 30, and an external packaging case 40. The ink package 20 comprises a bag-shape body which holds an ink being fed to an inkjet head. The residual amount-detecting plate 30 has a detecting section 31 which detects an ink residual amount by moving depending on an ink amount in the ink package 20 while being bonded to the external surface of the ink package 20. The external packaging case 40 holds the ink package 20. In the ink cartridge, the tail part welded section on the confronted side with the ink feeding port of the ink package is bent at 180 deg., and is fixed to the case main body.
