PROTECTOR FOR COMMUNICATION WIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector having transmission characteristics where a transmission frequency band in an ordinary communication condition is sufficient for a signal of an xDSL system. SOLUTION: This protector includes a fuse and resistors inserted in a path for current passing through a device side terminal from a line side terminal in series. The fuse is disposed at a position to blow out by heating the resistor. The resistors are made non-inductive resistors formed by connecting two resistance wires wound in the opposite direction to each other in series or parallel. Where a wound resistor is used in the resistor, a capacitor is parallel connected to a series circuit consisting of the resistor and the fuse.
