SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with: a printer engine 14 that forms an image on a transfer sheet according to image data; a printer controller 16 that controls the printer engine 14; a network I/F 27 that transmits/ receives information to/from a supervisory center terminal 19 via a network 18; a video camera 11 that picks up an image of a supervised area; and a mode revision means that shifts the mode of the printer controller 16 to a supervisory mode. When the mode revision means shifts the mode of the printer controller 16 to the supervisory mode, the printer controller 16 activates a video camera 11 to transmit picked-up image data to the supervisory center terminal 19 by means of the network I/F 27.
