MULTI-DIRECTION INPUT DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-direction input device capable of minimizing a clearance between an opening part of upper case for supporting a key top and an outer peripheral part by forming a swinging supporting point of the key top at the upper case side. SOLUTION: The key top 4 concerning the multi-direction input device forms a protruding part 4e in a rod shape for protruding from the crossing part of grooves in a crossing pattern to a base material 8 side at a lower position. The base material forms a recess part 8a having a spherical surface on which a tip end part of the protruding part 4e can slide. Switch means are provided on base materials 8 in lower positions facing each operation part 5. When an operation part 5 is pressed, a key top 4 swings by using a crossing part of crosspiece 2a as a supporting point while the tip end of the protruding part 4e slides inside the recess part 8a to activate a switch means facing the pressed operation part 5 at a lower side.
