BLOCKING BAR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blocking bar capable of reducing a shock when a vehicle collides against it and improving visibility and assembly property by covering a solid stem with a foaming synthetic resin layer having a longitudinal cross section and with a tip formed into substantially spherical shape and having cushion property. SOLUTION: In the blocking bar 3 of a blocking device controlling traffic of a vehicle passing a toll gate of highway, the blocking bar 3 is constituted by the stem 31 as a strength member made of a rigid stainless pipe and a pipe made of fiber reinforced synthetic resin, the foaming synthetic resin layer 32 as a light buffer protection member with longitudinal cross section, with the tip 32a formed into substantially spherical shape, is like sponge, has cushion effect, is made of foaming urethane or foaming polyethylene, and synthetic resin films 34, 35 as synthetic resin sheet 33 and surface coating made of polypropylene sheet or polyethylene sheet or vinyl chloride sheet covering the foaming synthetic resin layer 32 for protection.
