STORABLE SEAT FOR RAILROAD VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storable seat for a railroad vehicle supporting a seating surface frame swingably between a seating position and a storing position around a horizontal rotating axis along a back rail frame capable of preventing damage to components by releasing lock (allowing pulling out) when force pulling out the seating surface frame in the storing position acts. SOLUTION: This seat is provided with a driving arm provided on a hinge bracket coaxial and as one body with the seating surface frame, an actuator connected to the driving arm of the hinge bracket and making force pulling up the seating surface frame from the seating position to the storing position act on the seating surface frame to lock pull-down of the same from the storing position to the seating position when a lock signal is given, and unlocking the seating surface frame when an unlock signal is given, and a release means releasing lock of the actuator when the seating surface frame in the storing lock position is forcedly pulled out toward the seating position under a condition that the unlock signal is not given to the actuator.
