SOLUTION: The vending machine, having a plurality of merchandise selecting buttons 7 for selecting merchandise, a plurality of columns 101 for housing merchandise according to sorts, and a display 6, is provided with a remote control 210 for operating and inputting column numbers indicating a plurality of columns 101, a plurality of displays 10 corresponding to the plurality of merchandise selecting buttons 7, a main control part 201 for displaying the column number of any of the plurality of columns 101 according to the operation input signal from the remote control 210, displaying the column number displayed on the display 6 on the display 10 corresponding to the merchandise selecting buttons 7 according to the depression signal of any of the plurality of merchandise selecting buttons 7, controlling the correspondence between the plurality of merchandise selecting buttons 7 and the plurality of columns 101, and a customer serving control part 204.
