Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knitable neutron shield material useful as neutron protection clothes, neutron shield blanket, curtain, shield material for neutron protection such as apparatuses and devices, and its production method. SOLUTION: The neutron shield material contains boron compound of 10 to 150 parts by mass boron equivalent to base material 100 parts by mass with a thickness of 50 to 1000 μm, which is flexible and capable of knitting. The production method for this invention is to impregnate or spread a component containing boron compound and emulsion resin on the base material with a thickness of 50 to 1000 μm and it is then dried.
