ELECTRIC DOUBLE LAYER CAPACITOR AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively supply an electric double layer capacitor having high performance. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the electric double layer capacitor comprises a step (a) of assembling a laminate 12, (b) a step of bundling the same polarity leads 13, and (c) a step of connecting the leads to terminal blocks 11 corresponding to the polarities, a means 22 for setting a pair of terminal blocks 11 in a horizontal state to meet a reference surface (s), a means for placing the laminate 12 composed of the predetermined number of modules in a horizontal state, a means 21a for horizontally advancing and retracting the means between welding positions of the same polarities of the leads 13 of the module to the block 11 of an initial position and the set state, a means 25 for bundling the same superposed polarities of the leads 13 in association with the advancing of the means for placing the laminate 12 toward the block 11 to the reference surface (s), and means 23a, 23b for connecting the bundled parts 14 of the same polarities of the block 11 and the leads 13.
