PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem of the electrophotographic device of a transfer belt system that, because a transfer belt is always in contact with a photoreceptor belt during printing, toner, or so-called fog, on the photoreceptor accumulates on a fixing machine from the transfer belt via a sheet of paper, resulting that the back of the sheet of paper is soiled. SOLUTION: In the transfer device in which a sheet of paper separated from the transfer belt is discharged by a static eliminator disposed opposite to the drive roller of the transfer belt to which a bias voltage is applied, a flow-in current varying means is provided in order that a current flowing in the drive roller from the discharger is varied during paper passage and during paper non-passage.
