LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device increased in uniformity of brightness, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is provided with a pair of substrates; the pair of substrates hold a liquid crystal layer in-between; at least one of the substrates is provided with a plurality of picture signal lines, a plurality of scanning lines, a plurality of pixel electrodes, and a plurality of function elements; the function elements are provided with signal electrodes concatenated with the picture signal lines, gate electrodes concatenated with the scanning lines, and drain electrodes concatenated with the picture electrodes; and also the signal electrodes and the drain electrodes are not in directly concatenated state and further the signal electrodes or the drain electrodes are provided with at least one bridge concatenation area and a conductive area in their projection on the gate electrode surfaces. The widths of the gate electrodes in the direction parallel to one of the edges in the bridge concatenation area are smaller than those in the direction parallel to the edges of the gate electrodes in the conductive area, and the bridge concatenation areas have uniform widths.
