LOW-NOISE EARTH AUGER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise by separating a cooling fan from the electric motor of an earth auger, and performing the support of the earth auger without clearance. SOLUTION: The cooling fan 18 in a rotation drive unit 5 is rotated at low speed by an electric motor 18 separate from an electric motor 15 for rotating the earth auger 5 to reduce the noise by the cooling fan. A required number of vertically long hard rollers 22 for arresting the rolling of the earth auger 5 are provided in contact with the periphery of a screw 6 around an auger shaft 7 on the insert support parts for anti-roll members 11 and 12 of the earth auger 5. The noise by rolling is reduced by the rollers 22. The anti-roll members 11 and 12 are covered with a sound insulating cover.
