WIPER TIP, AND WIPER TIP FOR ROTARY CUTTING TOOL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper tip that can suppress the formation of burrs and acquire a smooth machine surface, and to provide the wiper tip used being mounted to a rotary cutting tool together with other cutting tips. SOLUTION: In this wiper tip, a cutting edge is composed of single crystal diamond 3A, and a sub-cutting edge of the cutting edge has a circular arc shaped part with a radius of 10 mm to 500 mm. The tip radius of curvature of the cutting edge is 0.1 μm to 3 μm, and a rake face is formed of a face (110). This wiper tip is used for the rotary cutting tool together with a high hardness material such as diamond sintered bodies 3B excluding the single crystal diamond. It is preferable that the cutting edge of the single crystal diamond 3A is projected 0.01 mm to 0.05 mm more toward the rotation axis than the cutting edges of the high hardness material.
