SOLUTION: This brake unit is constituted of the reel 9 around which a flexible long material 6 is wound, a reel support 2 for supporting the reel 9 in a freely rotatable manner, the brake means 19 brought into contact with the reel 9 from the reel support 2 under pressure to prevent the over-rotation of the reel 9 due to the inertia at the time of drawing-out of the flexible long material, the contact element 20 coming into contact with the reel 9 and an urging means 21 for always bringing the contact element 20 into contact with the reel 9 under pressure.
