CONNECTING STRUCTURE OF CONNECTING PIPE OF VACUUM CLEANER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting structure of a connecting pipe of a vacuum cleaner capable of attaching and detaching the connecting pipe by simple operation and preventing the connecting pipe from being easily pulled out of the body during cleaning. SOLUTION: When a projecting part 81 of a lock element 8 is engaged with a recessed part 11 of the connecting port 7 with energizing force of a spring 9 by inserting the connecting pipe 6 in a connecting port 7, the connecting pipe 6 is a little pulled after insertion in order to stop rotation of the lock element 8, whereby the projecting part 81 and the recessed part 11 are engaged with each other at the mutual abutting surfaces. That is, projecting and recessed parts having a U-shaped section, which comprises a slope 81c formed on the projecting part 81 and a vertical surface 81b, and recessed and projecting parts having an inverted-U shaped section, which comprises slopes 11a, 11b formed on the recessed part 11 mesh with each other so that the abutting surfaces of the projecting part 81 and the recessed part 11 are engaged with each other.
