Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferritic stainless steel wire and fiber containing a high content of Al, of which the cold drawing workability are improved though the high-temperature oxidation resistance is not lowered. SOLUTION: The steel wire and fiber comprise, by mass%, 0.10% or less C, 0.3-1.5% Si, 1.0% or less Mn, 17.0-26.0% Cr, 0.60% or less Ni, 2.0-6.0% Al, 0.5-1.5% Mo, 0.05% or less Ti, 0.05% or less Nb, and the balance Fe with unavoidable impurities. The steel wire and fiber are suitable for an inner blade in a flexible tube used for intercepting conduction of vibration of an automobile engine to a rear exhaust pipe and for a sound absorbing material in a muffler.
