CONTROLLER FOR ELECTRIC POWER STEERING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for an electric power steering device capable of taking balance of a steering auxiliary force by compensating an offset to improve steering feeling. SOLUTION: In this controller for the electric power steering device having a motor driving means for driving a motor for electric power steering and a motor current detection means for detecting a current flowing in the motor, a motor stop condition in which the motor driving means does not carry a current and a current does not flow in the motor is formed, a motor current detection signal in the motor stop condition is used as an offset value of the motor current detection means, and the offset of the motor current detection means is automatically compensated based on the offset value.
