Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a step and raise the efficiency of allylation reaction in production of an epoxy resin made from an allylated polyhydric phenol compound as a raw material. SOLUTION: This method for producing the allylated polyhydric phenol compound comprises the following first step and second steps and further includes any one or more kinds of steps selected from the following steps (a) to (d). The first step: an allyl etherifying reaction of the polyhydric phenol compound and the second step: the Claisen rearrangement reaction of the allyl ether obtained in the first step, (a) a step of carrying out the second step without removing a salt formed as a by-product in the first step, (b) a step of using an aprotic polar solvent as a reactional solvent in the first step, (c) a step of conducting the second step under an inert gas atmosphere or in a vacuum and (d) a step of adding a phenolic antioxidant and carrying out the second step.
