PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a recording medium to cope with general purpose recording and reproduction by utilizing a traditional media system and to realize demands such as the making of the recording medium to be large capacity, the constructing of a proper management system, the coping with a request for recording special information and the dissolving of failure in traditional devices (recording and reproduction device). SOLUTION: In this recording medium, audio tracks and a data track in the data area of the medium are made to be managed by second management data in the management area of the medium and the data track is made to have data and first management data for managing the data. Moreover, the audio tracks and the second management data are recorded so as to be modulated by a first modulation system and the data track is modulated by a second modulation system to be recorded on the medium.
