SLAG-CUT DEVICE IN CONVERTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device with which in a slag-cut device for preventing a slag from flowing-out from a molten metal tapping hole at end stage of tapping the molten metal from a converter, a slag darts is inserted into the furnace and can be inserted into a molten metal tapping hole while avoiding the interference with the furnace tapping hole even in a small capacity of the converter, by forming the moving locus as a curving state with a hardware system without depending on a soft-control system. SOLUTION: The device which performs the slag-cut by running a carriage 2 holding the slag darts 1 for shielding the molten metal tapping hole on rails 4 extended toward the converter 5, is improved. The rails for a front wheel running part 11 and rear wheel running part 12 in the carriage 2 are individually arranged, and the angle of the carriage 2 is changed to the rails 10 according to running of the carriage by holding the angle between both running parts and thus, the moving locus can be formed as the curving state.
