Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet head capable of improving adhesiveness between a water repellent agent layer on a front face of a discharge side of an ink-jet nozzle and a nozzle forming member, and workability of a nozzle hole at the same time. SOLUTION: The ink-jet head comprises the nozzle forming member 121 having a plurality of nozzle holes 44 to discharge ink droplets, a plurality of ink liquid chambers communicating with each nozzle hole, and a nozzle plate 43 provided with the nozzle forming member 121 having a fluorinated water repellent layer 123 on its front face. The head discharges the ink droplets from the nozzle holes 44 by changing capacities of the ink liquid chambers. As for the nozzle plate 43, while an island shaped film formed by a divided membrane of inorganic oxide is formed between the nozzle forming member 121 and the fluorinated water repellent, an island shaped thin inorganic oxide layer 122 in which the island shaped film is made equally as a whole is formed. A material of the inorganic oxide layer 122 consists of SiO2 or TiO2 , and thickness of the layer is within a range of 10 to 1,000 , and preferably within a range of 50 to 300 .
