Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus with a simple configuration, without a need for revising connection to external devices on each occasion that confirms information associated with image display or sound output and can record contents onto other recording medium. SOLUTION: A CPU 321 controls a display section 330 for displaying a menu or a command to display an image being contents and information associated with image display or sound contents output. An image processing board 335 controls generation of signals to generate an image signal to display the image and the information when display of information is set or to generate an image signal for displaying only the image when setting of no information display is set.
