Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a flickering of vertical lines appearing on a liquid crystal screen. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device has a source driver IC chip 4 having two systems of sample-hold circuits for reading the information to be written to a liquid crystal element in one horizontal period and writing the read information onto the liquid crystal element in the next one horizontal period, and while the one sample-hold circuit performs reading, another sample- hold circuit performs writing, and while the one sample-hold circuit performs the writing, another sample-hold circuit performs the reading, and the number of switching times of two systems of the sample-hold circuits with each other is always even or odd in respective field periods or respective frame periods.
