Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating device and an image forming apparatus capable of supplying efficiently electric power to an induction coil by preventing the temperature rising due to the self-heat evolution of the induction coil in the fixing device of an induction heating system. SOLUTION: In this heating device, a cooling pipe is provided at the center part of the litz wire of an induction heating coil. In the conventional litz wire, in the center part in which element wires are most crowded, electric resistance due to the self-heat evolution becomes the highest. Since the increase of the electric resistance of the coil accompanied by the temperature rising is suppressed by cooling the center part of the litz wire, electric power can be supplied efficiently and satisfactory magnetic flux generating performance can be obtained and energy saving effect can be obtained in this device.
