Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus wherein the image of an object containing a quadrupole nucleus is formed inside a sample space. SOLUTION: In the method of detecting a specific substance (excluding a human) containing the quadrupole nucleus, the substance is irradiated, the qudrupole nucleus generated from the substance is excited at a plurality of resonance frequencies, a response signal at each resonance frequency is detected, and a warning signal is generated according to whether or not a nucleus quadrupole resonance is detected at each of the plurality of resonance frequencies.
